Strange "Spider"

Location: Landes, D824, entrance to Dax ring road coming from Mont de Marsan

It isn't a spider, because it only has six legs. And what are the three phallic symbols in the middle all about?

And I thought the red "D" with the swirl might be the logo for Dax, but it doesn't seem to be.

Then round the other side of the roundabout there are about a dozen painted posts.

All to be found on the ring road as you approach Dax from Mont de Marsan in the Landes.

I know this roundabout, weird. The march of modernity has overtaken the the rustic (and rusting) old plough planted with petunias. Some corporate management company's idea of a meaningful message, no doubt!
Keep up the good work but please avoid becoming one of those dark cardboard cutout effergies one sees in France at accident blackspots when taking your photographs!

Woodland Fay, thank you for your comment and for following this blog.
Yes, there are times when I have to jump out of the way as a large lorry comes thundering round. I also get the odd yelled comment!
